Overview / History
Welcome to the Viridian Elementary website. Viridian is a part of Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. Viridian Elementary, which opened in August 2014, is the 20th elementary school in HEB ISD and illustrates the continued growth in the southern portion of our school district. This new elementary school is a Schools of Choice campus, following our tradition of providing a world-class education beginning in the earliest grades.

Tuition-based Pre-K: Education studies indicate children need an early childhood program that targets their social, emotional, and academic needs. The Viridian Elementary School tuition-based Pre-K program is the fourth in HEB ISD. It follows the HEB ISD Pre-K curriculum, providing a detailed outline of knowledge and competencies young children need in order to build a solid, coherent foundation for later learning.
The Pre-K curriculum addresses five specific areas: Physical Well-Being and Motor Development (Movement and Coordination); Social and Emotional Development (Autonomy and Social Skills); Approaches to Learning (Work Habits); Language Development (Oral language, Reading and Writing); Knowledge Acquisition and Cognitive Development (Mathematics, Science, Music, Visual arts).
The instruction integrates music, art, and varied genres of literature. Children will make choices and demonstrate creativity, requiring independent thinking.
Pre-K is a full-day tuition based program. For tuition fee and enrollment information please visit the Pre-K department website.
